Texaslivingwill.org is provided as a free service by the University of Texas Health Science Center San Antonio's Center for Medical Humanities & Ethics. The Center for Medical Humanities & Ethics was created to provide a home for efforts in educating medical students and all health professionals in San Antonio and throughout Texas on issues related to professionalism and bioethics through the humanities.
We believe in "ethics in action" whereby people learn the values of empathy, compassion, respect, professionalism, and humanitarianism through community service learning. We offer courses and opportunities to medical students in professionalism, ethics, social justice, global health, literature, and community service learning as well as providing discussion series, art & literature events, music programs, distinguished ethics lectures, and continuing education. The Center is funded through the generosity of its supporters.
